Saeta is a form of prayer, sung in Spanish Easter parade. In Saeta women stand on a balcony. The address god and sing of life as something difficult. Joan Manuel Serrat used a Saeta melody in the early 1970s, in a song opposing the Franco regime in Spain.

A saeta certainly conveys the melancholy of what we go through in life -- with or without Franco.
